Directions to Air Charter Service

Washington County Airport, Washington Pa.

Note: If you are using a GPS, the coordinates for Washington County Airport are  Lat/Long 40-08-11.3580N / 080-17-24.7230W.  However, we suggest you also read the following directions and copy this page for reference as folks have often become lost trying to find us using only a GPS (we are told that GPS directions sometimes lead to another "Airport Road" near Burgettstown, which is quite a distance from our facility).  Also, if you are using an online map service to find us, beware, as some of them may also lead you to the incorrect "Airport Road".  If you do get lost, just give us a call at 724-222-1025, and we'll set you straight!

If you are approaching from the north (Pittsburgh, etc.) via I-79, bear right at the I-79/I-70 "split" (I-70 West).  If you are coming down Route 19, you can get on I-70 West (toward Wheeling) as you approach Washington. From the south (Morgantown, etc.), merge onto I-70 West.  Approaching from the east or west, just stay on I-70 to Washington.

From I-70, take Washington Exit 15 (Chestnut Street). 

Bear right onto Chestnut Street. 

At the second traffic light (Wendy's and Denny's on the left, a little gas station and a Rite Aid drugstore on the right), turn right onto Franklin Farms Road (as a landmark, you will immediately see a shopping mall on your right along Franklin Farms Road).

Continue on Franklin Farms Road about a mile to the second traffic light, a "T" intersection.  Turn right onto Route 18 South.

Continue on Route 18 about two miles, until you see a big airport sign on the right.  Turn right onto Old Plank Road.

About 100 yards along Old Plank Road, you will see another airport sign, and yes, it's yet another right turn!

You are now on the airport road. One more mile to go! Go uphill past a mobile home court, and soon typical-looking airport buildings will begin to appear.  Continue along this winding road, following the "Air Charter Service" signs (we are not at the "main terminal"). You will soon come to a rectangular stop sign.  The white Air Charter Service building will be directly in front of you. Turn left, then right around the yellow-green hangar and you will be at our building!
